Inspection of the piston (Defender 2007+)

CAUTION: Do not use harsh cleaning fluid or wire brush to clean the piston.

• Clean the piston skirt, piston pin bushing, piston grooves and crown and inspect them for wear and cracks.
• If there are signs of wear on the piston skirt, check that the connecting rod is not deformed or twisted.
