Instrument cluster — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Remove the upper decorative panel of the instrument panel. Unscrew the two screws.



3. Remove the lower decorative panel of the instrument panel. Unscrew the two screws.



4. Remove the instrument panel. Unscrew the two screws.



5. Remove the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation

1. Install the instrument panel. Connect the plug connector.

2. Secure the instrument panel. Screw in two screws.

3. Install the lower instrument panel trim panel. Screw in two screws.

4. Install the upper instrument panel trim panel. Screw in two screws.

5. Connect the ground wire to the battery.

6. Using a Land Rover approved diagnostic tool, configure the instrument cluster.
