NOTE: If a new instrument panel is to be installed, the Land Rover approved diagnostic system must be connected to the vehicle and the procedure for replacing the instrument panel must be followed. This will ensure that the coded information about the vehicle and the current service interval are correctly entered into the new instrument panel.
NOTE: The description of the removal procedure in this manual may include installation steps.
1. Secure the SRS system. Refer to Procedure: Standard Techniques Used in a Service Station (100-00 General information, Description and principle of operation).
2. Remove the lower driver airbag module. Refer to procedure: Driver's lower airbag module (501-20B Secondary restraint system, Removal and installation).
3. Remove the decorative cover on the keyless start control module.
NOTE: Right hand drive variant shown, left hand drive variant similar.
4. Remove the bottom casing of a steering column.
5. Bring the steering column to the lowest position.

7. Remove a frame of a guard of devices.
NOTE: Be extremely careful when releasing the clamps.
8. Remove the three Torx screws.

Installation
1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
2. If a new item has been installed, configure using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
