Headlight leveling motor (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the headlight assembly.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Headlight Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).

2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the headlight leveling motor harness.

3. Turn the headlight leveling motor counterclockwise to release the locking tabs from the support bracket on the headlight housing.

4. Release the headlight beam leveling motor shaft from the retaining groove in the headlight socket and remove the motor from the support bracket.

Installation

1. Install the headlight leveling motor onto the support bracket and insert the motor shaft into the groove in the headlight socket.

2. Press the headlight leveling motor and turn it clockwise to lock the locking tabs behind the support bracket.

3. Connect the electrical connector of the headlight leveling motor harness.

4. Install the headlight assembly.
