Air filter element — removal and installation (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Release the air cleaner outlet pipe. Release the clamp.



2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector. Disconnect the wiring harness.



3. Remove the air filter housing cover.



4. Remove the filter element.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Position the rear air cleaner housing cover retaining clips correctly.

NOTE: Clean the air filter base.

Install the components in the reverse order of disassembly.
