Dismantling


1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Using the LRT-99-027 tool, cut the pipe at the location indicated by the recess.

4. Unscrew the 8 nuts securing the system suspension and, with the help of a partner, remove the muffler assembly with the outlet pipe.

5. Remove 4 exhaust system suspension mounts.

Assembly


1. Install the exhaust system suspension cushions in place.

2. Wipe the muffler intermediate pipe and install the bushing.



3. With the help of a partner, install the muffler with the outlet pipe, put it on the suspension and screw on the nuts. Tighten the nuts. Tightening torque 25 N·m.

4. Center the connecting sleeve, align the intermediate pipe with the muffler outlet pipe and tighten the sleeve clamp nuts. Tightening torque 48 N·m.

5. Check the correct position of the exhaust system.

6. Connect the negative battery terminal.

7. Start the engine. With the engine running, check the exhaust system for leaks. (no exhaust gas breakthrough).
