Removal
1.
WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2.
NOTE: Mark the position of the front driveshaft in relation to the front differential drive flange.
Disconnect the driveshaft from the front differential.
- Unscrew and discard 4 nuts.

3.
NOTE: Mark the position of the front propeller shaft in relation to the transfer case drive flange.
Remove the driveshaft.
- Unscrew and discard 4 nuts.

Installation
1.
NOTE: Clean the driveshaft flanges and mating surfaces.
To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2.
NOTE: Install new nuts.
Tighten to 40 Nm.
- Check the position of the cardan shaft relative to the pinion flange.

3.
NOTE: Install new nuts.
Tighten it up (tightening torque 47 Nm).
- Check the position of the cardan shaft relative to the pinion flange.
