Removal


1. Remove the left front seat cushion.

2. Release the clamp and remove the battery access cover.

3.
WARNING: When removing the battery or before performing any electrical repairs or maintenance, always disconnect the ground cable first. If the power cable is removed but the ground cable is not disconnected, accidental contact with a wrench or any grounded metal object will cause severe sparking and could result in injury. After installing the battery, always reconnect the positive cable first.


Disconnect both battery cables, starting with the ground cable.

4. Loosen the nuts and move the battery clamp with the 'J' bolts to the side.

5. Remove the battery.

Installation


1.
NOTE: Apply petroleum jelly to battery clamps and terminals before installation.


Install the battery and secure it with the clamp. Make sure the 'J' bolts are correctly positioned under the mounting brackets at the base of the battery tray.

2. Connect the battery cables, starting with the positive cable.

3. Install the battery cover.

4. Install the seat cushion.
