Disconnecting the battery
Before disconnecting the battery, turn off the alarm system and all power consumers. If you need to remove the radio for repair, you should first disable its code protection.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to electrical components, always disconnect the battery when repairing or servicing electrical equipment. The ground wire should be disconnected first and reconnected last.
CAUTION: After disconnecting (connecting) the battery, make sure that the connecting wires do not touch moving parts.
Charging the battery
Do not charge the battery directly on the vehicle. When charging the battery, ensure that the room is well ventilated and take all precautions to avoid the occurrence of open flames or sparks.
Safety precautions when working with the ignition system
The ignition system generates high voltage. Take the following precautions when working on the ignition system.
WARNING: Before working on the ignition system, make sure that the high-voltage terminals, adapters and high-voltage part of the diagnostic equipment are reliably insulated and protected to prevent accidental contact and reduce the risk of injury. People with implanted pacemakers are not allowed to work on the ignition system and diagnostic equipment.
