Some models are equipped with an audible warning signal to alert you when the battery is disconnected. Disconnecting the battery causes an audible signal to sound. To turn off the sound signal:

1. Turn the ignition on and off

2. Disconnect the battery for 15 seconds (see below) If the horn sounds, check the horn connection and turn it off by turning the ignition key to position II.

3. Disconnect both cables from the battery.

Caution: Always disconnect the negative cable first, then the positive cable. Connection must be carried out in reverse order.


4. Unscrew the four nuts securing the battery bracket.

5. Remove the bracket.

6. Remove the battery.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the battery terminals with petroleum jelly.
