Description of the anti-theft system (model 96) (Discovery 1)

The anti-theft system provides vehicle protection in accordance with market requirements, i.e., some options described below may vary depending on the model and location of use.

Engine start blocking

After a while, the car is automatically locked depending on the state of the anti-theft system (ON or OFF). The door lock key can be used to enter access codes (eSA key see below) to turn off the system, even if the control panel is faulty.

Locking doors

Provides protection for the vehicle when there is a passenger inside.

Checking the anti-theft system

The anti-theft system can be tested manually or using the TESTBOOK tester.

Access Code Entry Key (ECA)

The code entry key is unique and applies only to this vehicle. Used to disable the anti-theft system if the remote control is faulty, see the instructions supplied with the vehicle.

Battery disconnect sound signal

When the anti-theft system is activated, an audible alarm will sound and the battery will be disconnected unless the disconnection procedure is performed.
