Checking the anti-theft system (model 96) (Discovery 1)

Note: To test the door locking system, the remote control must be removed from the ignition key.


To check the volume sensor, move the remote control close to the ignition switch.

Initial conditions for testing:
  • 1. The anti-theft system is turned off.
  • 2. The ignition is off.
  • 3. The door locks are open.
  • 4. The hood is closed.

The test must be completed within 5 seconds:
  • 1. Open the hood.
  • 2. Turn on the ignition.
  • 3. Open the door until the switch is triggered.
  • 4. Turn off the ignition.
  • 5. Turn on the ignition.

If the system is normal, a sound signal will be heard and the anti-theft system and emergency stop indicators will flash.

Checking the door locking system



If the anti-theft alarm and emergency stop indicators continue to flash:
  • 1. The door switch was triggered.
  • 2. The hood is open.
  • 3. The lock switch has been triggered.
  • 4. The key lock switch has been activated.

Note: The state of the key lock switch may be changed after the key is turned so that the lock and the lock key are not simultaneously activated.


Checking the volumetric sensor



Press the "UNLOCK" button on the remote control or hold the remote control close to the ignition switch. When the sensor detects movement, the anti-theft system and emergency stop indicators will flash inside the vehicle. To complete the test, turn off the ignition.
