Checking the fuel system pressure (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Performing the procedure


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

WARNING: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.


2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.


3. Connect the LRT-19-004 tool to the LRT-19-006 tool.

4. Remove the protective cap from the Schroeder valve.

5. Connect the LRT-19-006 tool with the LRT-19-004 tool installed to the Schroeder valve.


5. Connect the LRT-19-006 tool with the LRT-19-004 tool installed to the Schroeder valve.

6. Open the tap of the LRT-19-006 device.

7. Connect the ground cable of the battery.

8. Start the engine and let it idle.

9. Record the pressure gauge readings. The fuel pressure should be within 3.25...3.75 bar.

10. Turn off the engine.

11. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

12. Close the valve of the LRT-19-006 device.

13. Take a clean piece of rag and wrap it around the Schrader valve so that it can absorb any fuel spilled while disconnecting the device.



14. Remove the LRT-19-006 tool together with the LRT-19-004 tool from the Schroeder valve.

WARNING: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.


15. Install the protective cap on the Schroeder valve.

16. Remove (disconnect) lRT-19-004 fixture with LRT-19-006 fixture.

17. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.


18. Connect the ground cable of the battery.
