Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

Installation


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.


3. Remove the protective cap from the Schroeder valve located on the fuel rail.

WARNING: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.


4. Attach the LRT-19-006 tool with a hose to the Schroeder valve.

5. Open the tap of the LRT-19-006 device. Drain excess fuel from the system into a suitable container.

WARNING: Fuel vapors are highly flammable and in a confined space they are also toxic and explosive. A fire extinguisher must be available in the room where fuel is removed from the fuel tank. (foam, carbon dioxide, gas or powder).


Removal


1. Close the valve of the LRT-19-006 device.

2. Remove the hose from the LRT-19-006 tool.



3. Remove the LRT-19-006 tool from the Schroeder valve.

4. Place the protective cap on the Schroeder valve.

5. Place the fuel drain tray on the workbench.

6. Drain the fuel from the tray and prepare it for further use.

7. Install the soundproofing casing in place.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.


8. Connect the ground wire of the battery.
