Fuel System Pressure Relief: Except Americas (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. Remove the soundproofing casing.

ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Soundproofing engine casing.

2. Place a rag near the fuel supply hose to prevent spilled fuel from spreading.

CAUTION: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.

3. Pull back the boot on the fuel connector and carefully separate it.

CAUTION: The procedure for relieving residual pressure must be performed whenever any system components need to be disconnected. Residual pressure exists in the system even after the ignition has been turned off.

4. Reconnect the connector immediately after the pressure is released.

5. Replace the soundproofing casing.
