Throttle Control Cable — Removal and Installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Soundproofing engine casing.

2. Release the throttle control cable from the clips on the wiring harness brackets.

3. Disconnect the cable housing from the bracket and disconnect the cable from the sector on the throttle pipe.



4. Disconnect the gas cable from the gas pedal.

5. Rotate the cable housing to release it from the front shield and remove the cable assembly from the vehicle.

Installation

1. Route the cable, secure the cable housing to the front shield and secure the cable to the gas pedal.

2. Secure the throttle control cable to the throttle sector and the cable housing to the bracket.

3. Secure the throttle control cable to the clips on the wiring harness brackets.

4. Adjust the throttle control cable.

5. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.
