Fuel System Pressure Relief: Americas (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. Remove the soundproofing casing.

ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Soundproofing engine casing.

2. Before May 2003: Remove the nut and bolt that secure the coil and move the coil to the side.



3. Remove the protective cap from the Schroeder valve.

4. Place a rag near the fuel supply hose to prevent spilled fuel from spreading.

CAUTION: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.

5. Install tool LRT-19-006 on the Schroeder valve.

6. Place the opposite end of the LRT-19-006 into the container and open the pressure relief valve.

7. Remove the LRT-19-006 tool from the Schroeder valve.

8. Install the protective cap on the Schroeder valve.



9. Before May 2003: Tighten the bolt and nut that secure the coil.

10. Install the soundproofing casing in place.
