Rotary switch system "Terrain Response" is located on the central console and allows you to select one of five work programs. Each program has a symbol representing a type of terrain. To select the desired program, turn the rotary switch. The switch selects only the last program in the direction of rotation. Once the last program in either direction has been selected, further rotation of the switch will have no effect. For example, after selecting the "Slow movement on rocky terrain" program, further counterclockwise rotation will have no effect.
System control unit "Terrain Response" located under the rotary switch. The unit is connected via a harness connector that also contains the wiring for the HDC switch,
transfer case high/low switch, air suspension switch, and switch illumination circuits. The control module and switch use four wires from the harness to supply 12 volts from the battery when the ignition key is in position II, a ground connection, and high speed CAN bus positive and negative signals.
