Airbags deploy at relatively low current levels, so always follow these instructions:
CAUTION: When checking SRS components, do not use multimeters or other multi-purpose equipment - this may cause the airbags to deploy. Use only the special Testbook diagnostic tool to diagnose the system.
CAUTION: Do not use electrical testing systems on the SRS wire harnesses while they are connected to SRS components. This may cause the air bag to deploy unexpectedly and result in injury.
Do not apply voltage to the terminals of SRS components unless instructed to do so.
The SRS diagnostic electronic control unit cannot be repaired and no attempt should be made to repair or modify it.
