Wheels
Removal and installation
1. Mark the position of the wheels relative to the studs so that the wheel is in the same position when installed.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts. Raise the car until the wheels are off the ground, unscrew the nuts and remove the wheels.
3. Clear a landing aperture of a disk and a landing belt of a nave from dirt.
4. Apply a thin layer of anti-seize paste to the seating surface of the hub.
5. Reinstall the wheels in their original position.
6. Fit and lightly tighten the wheel nuts.
7. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm.
CAUTION: Do not use power tools when tightening nuts. Tighten the nuts diagonally using a suitable torque wrench.
Tires
Examination
1. Check tires to vehicle manufacturer's specifications, inspect for cuts, bulges, delaminations, uneven wear, and visually assess tread pattern wear.
2. Check tire pressure, condition and tread depth. Measure the depth of the tread dimples across the width of the tire and around the entire circumference.
