When performing routine repairs, replacing components and installing accessories, pay particular attention to the following.
If components not approved by Land Rover are fitted to the vehicle, this may result in a deterioration in road safety and corrosion resistance of the vehicle. In some countries, it is illegal to fit components to the vehicle that have not been certified as part of the vehicle. When carrying out assembly and disassembly work, the tightening torques of fasteners specified in this Manual must be observed. Where provided by the design, fasteners must be fitted with locking devices. If the locking device has lost its initial effectiveness, it must be replaced with a new one.
Those owners who have purchased car accessories while traveling abroad must ensure that these accessories and the method of installing them on the car comply with the laws of the country of permanent residence.
The terms of the vehicle's factory warranty may be reviewed if, during repair, components not approved by Land Rover were installed on the vehicle.
NOTE: The installation of components or accessories not approved by Land Rover, or modifications to the vehicle, may impair the safe operation of the vehicle.
In this case, Land Rover's warranty obligations become void.
All Land Rover approved components carry the same warranty as a new vehicle.
