Structure of the repair manual (Discovery 3)

Listed below are the five main sections and the topics they cover:

• Section 1 - General information.
• Section 2 - Chassis.
• Section 3 - Powertrain.
• Section 4 - Electrical equipment.
• Section 5 - Body and paintwork.

The subdivision number is listed after the section number, for example: Section 412-03, which is dedicated to air conditioning, is included in the section dedicated to electrical equipment.

In the number above, the first digit - '4' - indicates the section, in this case, "Electrical Equipment".

The second and third digits of the number - '12' indicate the vehicle's system, in this case, the air conditioner.

The last two digits of the number - '03' - indicate the part of the system to which this subsection is dedicated, in this case, the air conditioning compressor.
