Upper trim panel for 110 pillar «station wagon» (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the rear seat.

2. Remove the rear side trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Side Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

3. Remove the cover from the rear seat belt upper guide bracket mounting bolt.

4. Remove the bolt and guide bracket from the 'C' pillar.

5. Remove the bolt securing the seat belt to the wheel arch support.



6. Remove the trim panel retainer from the 'C' pillar.



7. Remove the seat belt opening trim piece from the side trim panel.



8. Remove the screw and seat belt clip from the 'C' pillar.

9. Remove the fastening elements of the lower edge of the trim panel to the body wall.



10. Release the top edge of the trim panel by tapping upward with your hand to disengage the three spring clips.

11. Remove the trim panel from the window frame and route the seat belt through the opening in the panel.

12. Remove the trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation

1. Install new spring clips onto the three brackets on the top edge of the side trim panel.

2. Route the seat belt through the opening in the trim panel and install the trim piece.

3. Check the position of the trim panel, ensuring that it is correctly positioned relative to the side window.

4. Position the trim panel spring clips onto the inside edge of the headliner and press firmly to secure the top edge of the trim panel.

5. Align the trim panel tabs with the body side retaining holes and secure with bolts or screws. If custom seats are installed, do not fully tighten the fasteners at this stage.

6. Install the seat belt clip to the 'C' pillar.

7. Install the trim panel retainer onto the 'C' pillar.



8. Install the seat belt on the wheel arch. Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm.

9. Install the seat belt guide bracket to the 'C' pillar. Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm and install the decorative cover.

10. Install the rear side trim panel.

11. Install the rear seat.
