Upper B-pillar trim panel (Discovery 3)

Removal


1. Switch the SRS system to safe mode. For more information, refer to the Standard Techniques used at the service station.

2. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel. For more information, refer to Lower B-Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.29)

3. Disconnect the lower seat belt anchor from the seat.
  • Remove the bolt cover.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector on the passenger side.
  • Remove the Torx bolt.
Remove the Torx bolt.


4.
NOTE: Before removing the upper B-pillar trim panel, make sure the upper seat belt anchor height adjuster is in the lowest position.


Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
  • Remove the front and rear door opening seals for ease of access.
  • Release the 2 bottom clamps. then the remaining top clamp.
  • Release the seat belt.
Release the seat belt.





Installation


1. Install the B-pillar upper trim panel.
  • Secure with clamps.
  • Fasten the seat belt.
  • Install door opening seals.
2. Attach the lower seat belt anchor to the seat.
  • Tighten the Torx head bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).
  • Connect the electrical connector on the passenger side.
  • Install the bolt cover.
3. Install the lower B-pillar trim panel. For more information, refer to Lower B-Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.29)
