Engine Cover 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, please refer to the Specification.

2. Unscrew the oil filler cap.

NOTE: Remember the positions of the spacer bushings.

Remove the engine cover.

• Unscrew 4 nuts.
• Remove the spacer bushings.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the acoustic panel.

• Remove 7 clamps.
• Remove 4 supports and compression stops.

Installation

1. Install the acoustic panel.

• Install and secure the clamps.
• Install the sealing bushings.
• Install compression stops.

2. Install the engine cover.

• Install the spacer bushings.
• Tighten the nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
