Upper C-pillar trim panel (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Fold back the rear seat back.

2. Remove the door opening seal.

3. Remove the lower seat belt anchor. Remove and discard the Torx head bolt.

4. Remove the access cover to the upper trim panel.

5. Remove the upper trim panel of the rear body pillar.

• Remove and discard the Torx head screw.
• Loosen the 4 clamps.
• Remove the seat belt from the seat.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the 4 clips from the rear pillar upper trim panel.

Installation

1. Install the clips to the rear pillar upper trim panel.

2. Install the rear pillar upper trim panel.

• Fasten your seat belt.
• Engage the clamps.
• Screw in a new Torx head screw (tightening torque 3 Nm).

3. Install the access cover to the top trim panel.



4. Install the lower seat belt anchor. Tighten the new Torx head bolt. (tightening torque 40 Nm).

5. Install the door opening seal.

6. Return the seat back to the upright position.
