License plate lighting (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove one screw and remove the cover and lamp diffuser.

2. Unscrew the 2 fasteners and remove the metal cover to access the lamp fasteners and electrical wiring.

3. Disconnect the lamp wires from the wiring harness.

4. Unscrew 2 bolts, remove nuts and washers securing the lamp to the car body.

5. Remove the lamp holder assembly with the rubber seal and support.

Installation

1. Route the lamp assembly wires through the vehicle body and secure the lamp socket, seal and support.

2. Attach the lamp wires to the wiring harness connectors.

3. Install the cover to hide the lamp clips.

4. Install the diffuser and lamp cover.
