Removal


1.
WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise the vehicle and place supports underneath it.

2. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

3. Remove the gearbox in block with the drive axle.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Gearbox (308-03 Manual transmission/gearbox in block with driving axle, Removal).

4. Disconnect the working fluid line.
  • Place an absorbent cloth to collect any spilled liquid.
  • Remove the clamp.

Remove the clamp.


5. Remove the clutch slave cylinder. Unscrew the 3 bolts.

5. Remove the clutch slave cylinder. Unscrew the 3 bolts.





Installation


1. Install the clutch slave cylinder. Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Connect the working fluid line. Install the clamp in place.

3. Install the gearbox in the block with the drive axle.

4. Connect the ground wire to the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Connecting the Battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
