Clutch slave cylinder (Discovery 1)

Note: The tightening torque for the hydraulic system tube nuts is 15 Nm.

Removal

1. Remove liquid from the system through the drain nipple.

2. Disconnect the tube from the hydraulic cylinder and plug the open holes.

3. Unscrew the two hydraulic cylinder mounting bolts and remove the hydraulic cylinder.

4. If the boot did not come off together with the hydraulic cylinder, remove it from the clutch housing.

Installation

5. Remove the dust cover and spacer from the hydraulic cylinder.

6. Apply Hylomar P232M waterproof sealant to both surfaces of the spacer.

7. Install the boot and spacer on the hydraulic cylinder.

8. Install the hydraulic cylinder on the clutch housing, place the pusher on the piston.



9. Connect the tube.

10. Reinstall the removed parts. Pump up the system.
