Clutch master cylinder (Discovery 1)

Note: The tightening torque for the hydraulic system tube nuts is 15 Nm.


Removal



1. Drain the fluid from the hydraulic cylinder reservoir.

2. Disconnect the tube from the hydraulic cylinder and plug the open holes.

3. Lower the fuse box cover on the front panel.

4. Unscrew the fasteners of the clutch master cylinder.

5. Remove the pin of the clevis and disconnect the hydraulic cylinder rod from the clutch pedal.

6. Remove the hydraulic cylinder

Installation



7. Install the hydraulic cylinder and tighten the fasteners.

8. Press the clutch pedal and secure the hydraulic cylinder rod to the pedal.

9. Reinstall the removed parts. Pump up the system.
