Disassembly
2. Pull the boot off the hydraulic cylinder rod.
3. Remove the rod.
4. Remove the retaining ring
5. Using compressed air, remove the hydraulic cylinder piston assembly.
6. Remove the spring.

7. Remove the drain nipple.
Examination
8. Wash all parts in clean brake fluid.
9. Inspect the piston and cylinder for scratches, corrosion or scoring. Replace if necessary.
10. Install new seals and dust cover on the piston (from a repair kit).

Assembly
11. Install the new drain nipple.
12. Lubricate the piston, seals and cylinder with brake fluid.
13. Install the seal into the piston groove with the edge towards the drain nipple.
14. Install the piston assembly with the spring.
15. Install the retaining ring.
16. Pack the boot with grease and install it on the hydraulic cylinder.
17. Reinstall the removed parts.
