Disassembly
2. Pull the boot off the hydraulic cylinder rod.
3. Press the rod and remove the retaining ring.
4. Remove the rod.
5. Remove the hydraulic cylinder piston assembly.
6. Remove the holder and spring.

7. Remove the seals and washer from the piston.
Examination
8. Wash all parts in clean brake fluid.
9. Inspect the piston and cylinder for scratches, corrosion or scoring. Replace if necessary.
10. Install new seals and dust cover on the piston (from a repair kit).
11. Check for free passage of fluid through the filling and bypass channels.
12. Clean the ventilation hole of the tank.

Assembly
Note: Before installation, lubricate the parts with clean brake fluid.
13. Install the washer and seals on the piston.
14. Place the spring and holder into the cylinder.
15. Insert the piston into the cylinder. Make sure that the edges of the seals do not bend.
16. Place the boot on the rod and secure the rod with a retaining ring.
17. Pack the dust boot with grease and secure it in the cylinder groove.
18. By pressing on the rod, check the freedom of movement of the piston.
19. Install the hydraulic cylinder in place.
