Release bearing (Discovery 1)

1. Remove the gearbox.

2. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.

3. Remove the plastic release bearing retaining clip.



4. Remove the release bearing together with the guide sleeve. If necessary, press a new bearing onto the bushing.

5. Unscrew the spring clip fastening.

6. Remove the release bearing fork.

Installation

7. Lubricate the ball joint of the release bearing fork.

8. Lubricate the release bearing bushing with molybdenum disulfide grease.

9. Reinstall the removed parts.
