Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Drain the coolant from the engine.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, ADJUSTMENTS AND MAINTENANCE, Draining the coolant, flushing the system and filling.


3. Remove the fan viscous coupling.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.


4. Unscrew the 2 clamps securing the upper radiator hose and the expansion tank hose to the…


4. Unscrew the 2 clamps securing the upper radiator hose and the expansion tank hose to the radiator. Disconnect both hoses.

5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator.


5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator.



6. Loosen the clamp and remove the transmission oil cooling heat exchanger hose from the radiator.

7. Remove the screws securing the radiator assembly from the top panel of the radiator frame.

8. Tilt the radiator assembly back, loosen and remove the clips securing the radiator.

9. Carefully remove the radiator.

Assembly


1. Install the radiator on the support, put on and secure the clips.

2. Place the radiator in its standard position and secure it through the top panel of the radiator frame.

3. Connect and secure the cooling system hoses.

4. Install the fan viscous coupling.

COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.


5. Connect the negative battery terminal.

6. Fill the engine with coolant.
