Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Remove the cooling fan shroud.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Cooling Fan Shroud (303-03 Engine Cooling - Diesel Engine ID4 2.4L, Removal and Installation).

3. Remove the hood latch panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Hood Lock Panel (501-27 Repairs of sheet metal front elements, Removal and installation).

NOTE: Right side shown, same for left side.


Remove 2 O-rings.

Remove 2 O-rings.


5.
NOTE: Right side shown, same for left side.


Remove 2 charge air cooler brackets. Remove 4 bolts.

Remove 2 charge air cooler brackets. Remove 4 bolts.


6.
CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.




NOTE: Right side shown, same for left side.


Disconnect the charge air cooler inlet and outlet hoses.

Disconnect the charge air cooler inlet and outlet hoses.


7.
CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.


Disconnect the hose from the fuel cooler to the radiator.

Disconnect the hose from the fuel cooler to the radiator.


8.
CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

CAUTION: Make sure the charge air cooler radiator is not damaged during removal.




Remove the radiator and charge air cooler assembly.

Installation


1. Install the elements in place in the reverse order. Tighten (tightening torque 20 Nm).

NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.

Tighten it up (tightening torque 3 Nm).

4. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
