Drain
1. Put the car on a lift.
2. Set the heater control knob to the maximum interior heating position.
3. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
4. Remove the top engine cover.
ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORK, Upper engine cover.
5. Install a container to collect escaping coolant.
6. Turn away a cover of a broad tank. CAUTION: Do not open the cap while the engine is hot, as you may be scalded by steam or coolant.
7. Attach the hose to the drain cock.
8. Open the drain cock and drain the liquid into a container.
CAUTION: Coolant can damage paintwork. If coolant comes into contact with painted surfaces, remove any traces of coolant immediately and flush the area with water.
9. Turn out from the block of cylinders a drain stopper of system of cooling. Discard the sealing washer.
10. Collect the coolant in a container.
Filling
1. Wipe the drain plug and mating surface on the cylinder block.
2. Take a new sealing washer, screw a drain plug into the cylinder block and tighten it with a torque of 25 Nm.
3. Close the radiator drain cock and remove the hose.
4. Cover the generator to keep liquid out of it.
CAUTION: Do not allow oil or liquid to come into contact with the generator.
5. Remove the screw from the drain hole in the expansion tank.
6. Remove the drain screws from the water distribution pipe and from the heat exchanger of the exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR).
7. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
8. Tighten the screws when a continuous stream of liquid appears from the drain holes in the water distribution pipe and the EGR heat exchanger.
9. Remove the cover from the generator.
10. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
11. Put on an exhaust pipe a hose of removal of the fulfilled gases.
12. Start the engine, bleed the cooling system and warm up the engine to operating temperature.
13. When a continuous stream of liquid appears from the drain hole of the expansion tank, screw the screw into it and tighten it.
14. Inspect the engine and cooling system components for leaks.
15. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
16. Wipe the liquid from the surface of the body and from the surrounding surfaces.
17. Reinstall the engine top cover.

18. Add coolant to the correct level.
