Attention:
- 1. Before removing the fuel tank, drain the fuel from it. Fire hazard! Prepare and place fire extinguishing equipment near the work area.
- 2. Before disconnecting the fuel system components, clean the connection areas to prevent dirt from entering the system.
Note: If the tank is full, drain the fuel:
- when replacing the fuel pump - at least 9 liters;
- when replacing the filler neck - at least 22 liters;
- when removing the fuel tank - all the fuel.
1. Relieve residual pressure in the fuel system.
2. Disconnect the battery.

3. Unscrew the six screws of the luggage compartment mat fastening trim and remove the trim.
4. Remove the right side panel of the luggage compartment.

5. Lift the carpet and sound insulation to access the hatch in the luggage compartment floor.
6. Remove the six screws securing the fuel pump access hatch.

7. Remove the hatch.
8. Press the latch on the fuel return hose fitting and pull the hose off the tube. Be careful, fuel may spill.

9. Connect a fuel extraction device to the fuel return line. Pump out the required amount of fuel from the tank according to the device instructions.
10. After completing the repair work, reinstall the removed parts.
