Positive crankcase ventilation valve (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

ENGINE TD6, REPAIR WORK, Soundproofing engine casing.

3. Remove the air cleaner element.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Td6:, REPAIR WORK, Air cleaner filter element.

4. Remove the soundproofing cover.



5. Disconnect the connectors from the injectors.

6. Unscrew 3 screws and move aside the injector wire harnesses.



7. Remove the 4 Allen screws and remove the valve and filter. Remove and discard the old valve and filter seal.

Installation

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the valve and filter.

2. Install new valve and filter seals. Tighten the Allen bolts to 8 N·m.

3. Install the injector wire harnesses in place and tighten the mounting screws to 2 Nm.

4. Connect the harness connectors to the injectors.

5. Install the soundproofing cover.

6. Install the replacement air cleaner element.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Td6:, REPAIR WORK, Air cleaner filter element.

7. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

ENGINE TD6, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Soundproof engine casing.

8. Connect the ground cable of the battery.
