Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

CAUTION: To avoid contamination of the system, plug all open connections.

Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve.

• Disconnect the PCV hose.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Release the PCV valve.
• Remove the sealing ring and discard it.

Installation

1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clean the parts.
• Install a new O-ring.
• Lubricate the seal with clean engine oil.

2. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
