Removal


1. Remove the spare tire from the rear door.

2. Remove the cover from the nut, unscrew the nut and release the wiper arm.

3. Open the back door.

4. Remove the high brake light.

WARNING: Use appropriate eye protection when installing and removing glass.


Call an assistant and, working together, press down on the glass from inside the car, release the edge of the seal and carefully remove the glass.

7.
CAUTION: Place the glass on a felt-covered surface and be careful not to damage the decorative strip. Do not place the glass on edge as this may cause damage to the edge, which will subsequently develop into cracks.




Remove the seal from the glass.

Installation


1. Clean the glass and install the seal. Fix the seal completely on the glass.

2. Thoroughly clean the rear door window support edge.

3. Install a new tightening cord onto the seal.

4. Lubricate the seal.

5. Call an assistant and together with him install the glass and seal in the rear door window opening, install the lower edge and seal using a tightening cord.

6. Clean the glass and check the seal fit.

7. Connect the connectors to the rear window heating system.

8. Install the high-mount brake light.

9. Install the windshield wiper arm onto the spindle, align the windshield wiper blade with the glass and tighten the nut to 18 Nm.

10. Install the spare wheel and tighten the nuts to 45 Nm.
