Rear door window glass (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the rear door reinforcement panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Door Reinforcement Panel (501-03 Lockable body parts, Removal and installation).

2. Loosen the two nuts and remove the torsion bar and door opening limiter plate.



3. Remove the door opening limiter.

4. Remove the inner and outer seals.



5. Remove the screw from each glass channel.



6. Lower the glass to the base of the door, lift it above the bottom edge and remove it from the door.

Installation

1. Insert the glass into the channels and gently press it towards the top of the frame.

2. Secure the glass channels with screws. To avoid damaging the glass, make sure the screw heads are positioned below the bottom ends of the channels.

3. Install the inner and outer seals on the door.

4. Install the door opening limiter.

5. Install the opening limiter torsion bar and tighten the nuts to 10 Nm.

6. Install the rear door support panel.
