Front door window lifter and window lifter motor (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Front Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Remove the plastic sheet.

3. Lower the glass and remove the two bolts securing the door glass to the window regulator.



4. Release the glass from the window lifter, lift it and use a wedge to secure it in the raised position.



5. Disconnect the electric motor electrical connector.

6. Remove the four bolts and two nuts securing the electric motor assembly with the window lifter.

7. Release and remove the electric motor assembly with the window regulator.

Installation

1. Install the electric motor with the window regulator, screw in the nuts and bolts and tighten to 10 Nm.

2. Connect the electric motor electrical connector.

3. Remove the wedges, lower the glass and install the window regulator. Screw in the bolts and tighten to 6 Nm.

4. Raise and lower the glass to check operation.

5. Install the plastic sheet.

6. Install the door trim panel.
