Rear door window lifter and window lifter motor (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Carefully remove the plastic sheet from the rear door.

3. Remove the two bolts securing the door glass to the window regulator.

4. Raise the glass and secure it with a suitable wedge.

5. Remove the four bolts securing the window regulator to the door.

6. Pass the window regulator through the technological hole in the lower part of the door.

Installation

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the window regulator and the door glass.

2. Lubricate the window regulator with grease.

3. Install the window regulator on the door and secure with bolts.

4. Remove the glass holding wedge and align the glass relative to the window regulator.

5. Secure the glass to the window regulator, screw in and tighten the bolts.

6. Install the plastic sheet on the rear door.

7. Install the rear door trim panel.
