Window lifter for the luggage compartment door (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the rear glass.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to provide access to other components, installing the front door, Tailgate glass.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.



3. Loosen the 3 window lift motor mounting nuts and turn the motor to remove it from the door.

4. Loosen the 4 nuts securing the upper cable guides and remove the guides from the door.

5. Unscrew the 2 intermediate support mounting nuts. For better access, turn the intermediate supports fully counterclockwise.

6. Release the window regulator from the door mount and disconnect the electrical wiring from the left window mounting bracket.



7. Remove the window regulator from the door.

Assembly

1. Install the window regulator into the door and disconnect the intermediate rod from the glass guide.

2. Connect the electrical connector to the gear motor.

3. Replace the wiring clamp and align the window regulator with the door.

4. Tighten the intermediate support mounting nuts, but do not tighten them completely yet.

5. Install the upper guides on the door, tightening the gearmotor fasteners by hand.

6. Tighten the window lift motor fasteners.

7. Install the rear glass in place.
