Dismantling


1. Loosen the screw securing the handle cover to the door and remove the cover.

2. Release the fastener and remove the door handle cover.

3. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the door handle to the door.

4. Release the decorative trim from its fastening to the door.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tweeter.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window control panel and remove the trim panel.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.

7. Release the 2 fasteners and remove the window control panel trim from the trim panel.

8. Remove the retaining ring that secures the tweeter to the trim panel and remove the tweeter.

9. Remove the foam pad from the lock button guide.

10. Release the lock and remove the lock button guide.

11. Remember the location of the 2 long clips and remove the 9 clips from the trim panel.

12. Release the fastener and remove the retaining ring that secures the door handle to the decorative panel.

13. Remove the 2 clips that secure the door handle to the trim panel and remove the handle.

Note: Plastic retainers are installed only at the factory. In the future, screws should be used to secure all elements installed at the factory on plastic retainers.


Installation


1. Install the door handle onto the trim panel and secure it with screws and a retaining ring.

2. Install the fasteners on the decorative panel.

3. Install the lock button guide onto the decorative panel and secure it with the retainer.

4. Install the foam pad onto the lock button guide.

5. Install the tweeter into the door panel and secure it with the retaining ring.

6. Install and secure the window lift control panel and its trim onto the trim panel.

7. Connect the electrical connectors to the window control panel and tweeter.

8. Place the decorative panel on the door, align the position of the panel clips with the door holes and press firmly on the panel.



9. Replace and tighten the screws securing the door handle to the door.

10. Install and secure the cover plate onto the door handle.

11. Install the handle on the decorative panel and secure it with the screw.
