Removal


1. Remove the rear door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Remove the plastic covering from the door.

3. Lower the glass and unscrew the 2 bolts securing the door glass to the regulator.

4. Release the glass from the window lifter, lift it and use a wedge to secure it in the raised position.

5. Release the clamp, disconnect and remove the door lock drive motor rod.

6. Release the clamp and disconnect the inner handle rod from the latch mechanism.



7. Remove the clamp and disconnect the push button rod.

8. Release the clamps securing the electrical wiring harness to the door reinforcement panel.

9. Disconnect the multi-pin electrical connector from the door lock actuator motor.

10. Release the wiring harness braid and disconnect the wiring harness from the door.

11. Remove 5 bolts and 1 nut securing the door reinforcement panel.

11. Remove 5 bolts and 1 nut securing the door reinforcement panel.


12. Remove the door reinforcement panel.



Installation


1. Position the door reinforcement panel assembly, install the bolts and tighten to 10 Nm.

2. Connect the electrical connector to the door lock motor.

3. Secure the wiring harness clamps and braid.

4. Connect the inner handle rod to the latch and secure with the clamp.

5. Connect the rod to the push button and install the clamp.

6. Install and secure the door lock drive motor rod.

7. Remove the wedges, lower the glass and position it relative to the regulator. Screw in the bolts and tighten them to 6 Nm.

8. Raise and lower the glass to check operation.

9. Install the plastic covering on the door.

10. Install the rear door trim panel.
