Tailgate Wiring Harness (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removal


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the lower trim of the luggage compartment door.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Luggage compartment carpet lining.


3. Disconnect 5 wiring harness connectors.


3. Disconnect 5 wiring harness connectors.

4. Remove the 6 clamps securing the harness to the door.

5. Using the cuff, pull the tourniquet out of the door.

6. Lift and secure the spare wheel cover.

7. Disconnect the lower door harness connector from the on-board electrical equipment harness.


7. Disconnect the lower door harness connector from the on-board electrical equipment harness.



8. Release the cuff from the body and remove the harness from the vehicle.

Installation


1. Position the wiring harness correctly and secure it with clamps.

2. Secure the corrugated cuff of the harness to the door and the body.

3. Connect the wiring connectors.

4. Install the lower trim of the tailgate.

5. Close the spare wheel cover.

6. Connect the ground cable of the battery.
