Removal


1. Open the rear door and tailgate.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

3. Remove the liftgate lower trim panel. For more information, refer to Liftgate Trim Panel (76.34.11)

4. Remove the upper tailgate trim panel. Release the 4 clips.

4. Remove the upper tailgate trim panel. Release the 4 clips.


5. Remove the tailgate side trim panel.
  • Release the five fasteners.
  • Repeat the above procedure on the other side.
Repeat the above procedure on the other side.


6. Remove the rear roof trim panel.
  • Release 7 clamps.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector.


7. Release the tailgate wiring harness.


  • Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
  • Release the sealing sleeve.
Release the sealing sleeve.


8. Disconnect the high-mounted brake light electrical connector.

8. Disconnect the high-mounted brake light electrical connector.


9. Disconnect the rear window heating electrical connectors.

9. Disconnect the rear window heating electrical connectors.


10. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the license plate light.

10. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the license plate light.


11. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.



11. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.


12. If equipped, disconnect the tuning amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.

12. If equipped, disconnect the tuning amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.


13. If equipped, disconnect the navigation system traffic announcement antenna amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.

14. Remove the tailgate wiring harness. Release the 15 clips.

14. Remove the tailgate wiring harness. Release the 15 clips.





Installation


1. Install the tailgate wiring harness. Secure the clamps.

2. If equipped, connect the navigation system traffic announcement antenna amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.

3. If available, connect the tuning amplifier electrical connector to the best station and the antenna cable.

4. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

5. Connect the electrical connectors of the license plate light.

6. Connect the rear window heating electrical connectors.

7. Connect the high beam brake light electrical connector.

8. Connect the tailgate wiring harness.
  • Install the sealing bushing.
  • Connect the electrical connectors.
9. Install the rear roof trim panel.
  • Connect the electrical connector.
  • Secure with clamps.
10. Install the tailgate side trim panel.
  • Secure with clamps.
  • Repeat the above procedure on the other side.
11. Install the upper tailgate trim panel. Secure with clips.

12. Install the lower liftgate trim panel. For more information, refer to Liftgate Trim Panel (76.34.11)

13. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
