Fuel vapor absorber (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removal


1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

3. Remove the rear propeller shaft.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORK, Cardan shaft - rear.


4. Remove the 8 bolts and 2 nuts securing the right fuel tank cover.


4. Remove the 8 bolts and 2 nuts securing the right fuel tank cover.

5. Disconnect 3 hoses from the absorber, unscrew 2 Torx bolts and remove the absorber.

Installation


1. Install the absorber, secure it with 2 bolts and connect 3 hoses to it.

2. Install the bolts and nuts securing the right fuel tank cover and tighten them to 25 N·m.


3. Install the rear cardan shaft.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORK, Cardan shaft - rear.


4. Connect the ground wire of the battery.
