Removal


1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Remove the air filter housing.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Air cleaner housing.


3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the intake hose from the additional air supply pump; dispose of…


3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the intake hose from the additional air supply pump; dispose of the removed clamp.

4. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the discharge hose from the auxiliary air supply pump.

5. Unscrew the upper bolts securing the auxiliary air supply pump.


5. Unscrew the upper bolts securing the auxiliary air supply pump.

6. Remove the front engine cover.

7. Loosen the screw securing the right front mudguard to the wheel arch.

8. Disconnect and move aside for access the lower bumper panel.

9. Disconnect the connector from the additional air supply pump, unscrew the mounting bolt and…


9. Disconnect the connector from the additional air supply pump, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the pump.

Installation


1. Install the auxiliary air supply pump, tighten the lower pump mounting bolt. Do not tighten the mounting bolt yet.

2. Install the upper pump mounting bolts and tighten them to 22 N·m.

3. Tighten the lower pump mounting bolt to 5 Nm.

4. Connect the electrical connector to the pump.

5. Secure the lower panel of the front bumper.

6. Install and tighten the screw securing the right front mudguard to the wheel arch.

7. Install the front engine guard.

8. Connect the air outlet hose to the auxiliary air supply pump.



9. Secure the air suction hose to the pump connection with a new clamp.

10. Reinstall the air filter housing.
